People have been quietly reversing autism for decades, despite full institutional denial on the subject.

This, of course, gave rise to the idea that some people simply "grow out of it."
The primary author, Deborah Fein, briefed the IACC on this in January of 2013 and made it clear that those with optimal outcomes had NOT simply "grown out of it." Her study subjects had received extensive interventions of the sort that Documenting Hope is "documenting."
The American Pediatric Association wants to keep kids sick. More $$$$$ for pediatricians.
